Foster Spotlight
“We have been with BLC from the start, and I can honestly say we’ve found our permanent place. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming, and the board is always available to offer advice and support. Even when I feel like I am absolutely failing and don’t know where to start, everyone is at the ready to help. “

Worried About Fostering?
Most fosters start with the same questions.
-
Fostering means opening your home to a rescue dog and providing a safe, loving, and temporary environment while they wait for their forever family. As a foster, you’ll care for the dog as your own—offering daily structure, companionship, basic training, and plenty of love and stability. You play a vital role in helping them decompress, build confidence, and prepare for successful adoption.
-
No. Bully Love Coalition provides all essential supplies, food, and covers all veterinary expenses for your foster dog. Your primary role is to offer a safe, caring home and help with transportation to any necessary veterinary appointments.
-
The length of time varies—some dogs are adopted within a few weeks, while others may need longer. We’ll work with you to find the best fit for your situation and are always here to support you if your circumstances change
-
Foster families are always given the first right of refusal if they choose to adopt their foster dog. If you feel your foster is the right match for your home, please let us know as soon as possible so we can begin the adoption process and ensure the best outcome for everyone involved.
-
Absolutely! We carefully match foster dogs to your household and take the time to discuss any special considerations to ensure a smooth and successful placement.
We do require that any resident pets in the home are spayed or neutered and fully up to date on vaccinations, unless there is a medical reason preventing this, in order to ensure the safety and well-being of all animals involved.
One Foster Home Can Change Everything.
Every dog deserves a chance to feel safe, loved, and understood.
